1) What this policy covers

This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the App and related services (forum, blog, push notifications, in-app purchases).

This App offers fitness, meal, and grocery planning features. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. If you have a medical condition, consult a professional before using the App.

2) Information we collect

2.1 You provide directly

  • Account info: email, password (processed by Firebase Auth), display name, username.

  • Profile: photo/avatar (if uploaded).

  • Questionnaire & goals: wellness preferences and goals you choose to enter (e.g., pregnancy/postpartum status, fitness level).

  • User-generated content: forum posts, comments, likes, and reports.

  • Support: content of messages you send us.

2.2 Collected automatically

  • Device & app data: app version, device model/OS, language, crash logs, basic diagnostics.

  • Usage events: screen views, taps, and session timestamps (aggregated analytics).

  • Push token: a device token to deliver notifications (via Firebase Cloud Messaging).

We do not collect precise GPS location. We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera except when you deliberately choose a profile photo.

2.3 From third parties

  • Purchase status from Google Play Billing (e.g., product ID, purchase token, state) so we can enable Premium features.

  • Sign-in providers (if you use Google sign-in on supported platforms) share your basic profile info per your consent.

3) How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the App: authenticate you; save your plans; show workouts/meals; display forum/blog content.

  • Personalize plans: generate or update your workout/meal/grocery plan based on your questionnaire choices.

  • Premium access: verify purchases and enable Premium features.

  • Communicate: send transactional emails (verification, critical notices) and optional push notifications (e.g., new blog posts).

  • Safety & moderation: detect and respond to abuse, enforce rules, and handle reports.

  • Improve the App: debug, analyze usage trends, and enhance features.

  • Comply with law: meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use sensitive wellness info for targeted advertising.

4) Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on these bases:

  • Contract: to create your account, provide the App, and deliver Premium features.

  • Consent: for push notifications and for processing sensitive wellness preferences you choose to provide.

  • Legitimate interests: to secure and improve our services, prevent abuse, and support users (balanced against your rights).

  • Legal obligation: to keep purchase/transaction records as required.

You can withdraw consent at any time in Settings (for push) or by contacting us (for questionnaire data).

5) Sharing of information

We share information only as needed to run the App:

  • Service providers / processors:

    • Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging),

    • Google Play Billing (handling payments/subscriptions),

    • Crash & analytics tools (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics/Analytics).
      These providers process data under our instructions and appropriate terms (e.g., DPAs/Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable).

  • Other users (you choose): forum posts, display name/username, and avatar are visible to other users when you post.

  • Legal & safety: to comply with law, protect rights, or prevent harm.

  • Business transfers: if we restructure or sell assets, subject to this policy’s protections.

We do not share your questionnaire responses publicly.

6) Data retention

  • Account & profile: kept while your account is active.

  • Questionnaire & plans: retained so your plan persists; you can request deletion.

  • Forum content: retained for community continuity and moderation; deleting your account may pseudonymize or remove your handle while preserving thread integrity.

  • Purchase records: retained as required by tax/accounting laws (often 7 years).

  • Logs/analytics: retained for a reasonable period to maintain and improve the service.

We delete or de-identify data when it’s no longer needed.

7) Your rights & choices

7.1 In-app controls

  • Email verification & account settings: update display name, avatar, and password in Profile.

  • Push notifications: disable in device settings and/or App settings.

  • Forum controls: block/report users and content.

7.2 Privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing, and to opt out of “sale”/“sharing” or targeted advertising (US state laws).

  • We do not sell personal information.

  • For requests, email privacy@veltranastudios.com. We’ll verify your identity before responding.

EU/UK: you may also object to processing based on legitimate interests and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8) Children

The App is not intended for children under 13 (or a higher age where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the minimum age. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to delete it.

9) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest (via Firebase), access controls, and monitoring. No system is 100% secure. Please keep your password confidential and use a strong, unique password.

10) International transfers

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and comparable safeguards for cross-border transfers.

11) Sensitive information

Questionnaire answers may include wellness-related preferences you choose to share. We treat these as sensitive and process them only to provide your personalized plan and related services, based on your consent. You can delete or update these in the App or by contacting us.

HIPAA: We are not a healthcare provider or insurer and the App is not subject to HIPAA. Do not submit protected health information intended for diagnosis or treatment.

12) User-generated content & community safety

Forum participation is optional. Public posts are visible to other users. We provide block and report features and apply moderation policies. We may remove content that violates our rules or the law.

13) Third-party links

The App may link to third-party sites (e.g., blog articles, video hosts). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

14) Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy as our practices evolve. We’ll post changes in-app and/or notify you by email or push (for material changes). Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.

  • Not sold; used for App functionality, account management, personalization, analytics, fraud prevention, and developer communications.

  • Opt-in sensitive data: wellness preferences (only to personalize plans).
